We will bring our Desk Top Wind Thing, 3D printer and many examples of rapid prototyped parts. Our wind thing that is made from 3D printed parts, very artistic and people seem compelled to examine the rotating fins.
Here is a historical bio. My history defines me. I was a nerd when being a nerd was not fashionable. I got into computers and programming with the TRS-80, Apple IIe, Lisa, Mac in a sack, Commodore Pet, etc. I got an EE degree (the Mac in a sack gave me a huge edge in the early 80s). I worked in the aviation industry designing avionics. I then moved into the telecom industry and embedded systems. I was designing modems and networking equipment at the birth of the Internet. In the process I went over to the dark side doing more software/firmware than hardware. In recent years I discovered 3D printing, hackerspaces and the maker movement. Now I am helping other people realize their dreams with rapid prototyping. And finally I am a nerd when being a nerd is fashionable. I am made young again by the maker movement and the energy and creativity of the people who “make”.
