Interested in the Internet of Things but not sure where to get started? The Orlando IoT Meetup is for you. We are a community of entrepreneurs, developers, designers, and yes, makers, all with the shared vision that the Internet of Things can help us transform the world around us.
The mission of the Orlando Internet of Things (IoT) Meetup group is to foster the IoT community here in Orlando. When the Internet connected people, it revolutionized how we communicate.
Connecting things together will revolutionize not just how we communicate, but how we live. It’s estimated there will be 8 billion connected “things” by the end of 2017, and over 20 billion by 2020. And we need people to help make all these things and connect them in new, interesting, human-centric ways.
As a group we share knowledge and learn together. This year, we are embarking on a 12-meetup series, “IoT: Idea to Product”, all about creating your very own IoT product or solution. We meet the first Wednesday of every month at 6:30 pm in the Melrose Center (unless otherwise specified). We have over 1,000 members on Meetup.com; designers, programmers, engineers, entrepreneurs, and yes, makers, are all welcome.
