Design and 3D Print Your Own Bag Tag

Design and 3D Print Your Own Bag Tag

Visitors will be able to use TinkerCAD, a free, easy-to-use 3D design program, to design and personalize their own custom tag for their backpack or luggage. They'll learn the basics of computer-aided design (CAD) and how to lay out different text elements and icons to create their own unique flair for their bag.
Then, they will be able to have their bag tag 3D printed in a color of their choice, which will be printed at the event and ready for them to put on their bag before they leave.

Hi! I'm a senior at West Shore Jr/Sr High School in Melbourne, I enjoy 3D printing, designing, and tinkering with things, and I love sharing my passion with others. I coach two FIRST LEGO League teams, the Indialantic Innovators, at my former elementary school, and I am the Student Chairperson and founder of the West Shore Makerspace Club, where I help organize and direct funding to create a space to allow students to explore their creativity and engineering knowledge. I have experience using Onshape, Creo, Tinkercad, and FreeCAD, and have used that experience to help friends with projects including parts for my FIRST Robotics Competition team's robot, accessories for XRP robots, and curricula for workshops including 3D-printed luggage tags and name tags. I love having people see that engineering isn't as hard as people make it out to be, and that they can do amazing STEM things as long as they have a willingness to learn.
