IgorBox is a show control platform for haunted attractions, escape rooms, and themed entertainment, designed and built by a two-person maker team in Port Orange, FL. Our exhibit is a live, hands-on mini haunt: press a button, trip a sensor, and watch animatronics move, lights synchronize to audio, and props fire in perfectly timed sequences.
Behind the scares, we'll show you how it all works. Everything on display is built in-house, from the ESP32-based circuit boards to the embedded firmware to the browser-based show designer that choreographs it all. We'll have bare PCBs, open enclosures, and the actual design tools on screen, and we're happy to go as deep as you want on hardware design, real-time control, DMX lighting, pneumatics, and audio-synchronized effects.
Whether you're a home haunter, an escape room builder, a maker curious about embedded systems, or a kid who wants to make a monster jump, come push the big red button. Our controllers are battle-tested every October at Rotting Orchards, our free community charity haunted attraction, and we love talking shop about the craft of the perfectly timed scare.

IgorBox is a two-person maker company from Port Orange, FL, run by husband-and-wife team Mike and Lisa Heijmans. Mike spent 20 years as a software engineer on Wall Street trading platforms before going full time on a lifelong obsession: making things move, light up, and scare people. IgorBox builds cloud-connected show control hardware for haunted attractions, escape rooms, and themed entertainment. Everything is designed in-house, from the ESP32-based circuit boards to the firmware to the web-based show designer. Each October the pair also runs Rotting Orchards, a free community charity haunt where all of this technology gets put to the test on real trick-or-treaters. At our booth you'll see animatronics, synchronized lights, and pneumatic props come to life, and we'll happily talk multi-layer PCB design, embedded firmware, and the dark art of perfectly timed jump scares.
