Stitch the Stash

Stitch the Stash

Stitch the Stash is a hands-on sewing demo and creative reuse lab focused on turning fabric scraps into small, satisfying projects. Using both vintage and modern sewing machines, this exhibit will show how appliqué, simple construction, and a little imagination can transform leftover fabric into bookmarks, coasters, pouches, patches, and other tiny makes.
Visitors can see projects created at Tampa Hackerspace, watch sewing techniques in action, and gather ideas for using what they already have. The lab celebrates approachable sewing, stashbusting, creative problem-solving, and the joy of making something new from the bits and pieces left behind.
