Volumix by The Printing Pilot

Volumix by The Printing Pilot

Volumix / FaderBox is a fully 3D-printed computer audio controller that combines mechanical design, custom electronics, PCB design, and software into one working product. Visitors will be able to see how a complete product is developed from concept to prototype, including the printed parts, electronics, design iterations, and a live hands-on demo. I will also have more of my well-known projects to show people.

Regarding the images below, I still haven't taken any. This is a render of the old version of Faderbox. I'm working on more professional images in the next few weeks

The Printing Pilot with Faderbox

The Printing Pilot with Faderbox

Hello, My name is Tom, and I’m the creator behind The Printing Pilot. I’m a mechanical engineer, pilot, and product designer focused on creating fully 3D-printed products that combine mechanical design, electronics, PCBs, and software. I also release many of my projects for free so others can build, modify, and learn from them. For the past few years, I’ve been developing a project called Volumix. The main hardware device, FaderBox, is a fully 3D-printed computer audio controller that works with the Volumix software to control individual input and output audio sources on a computer. The project includes mechanical design, custom electronics, PCB work, firmware/software, and a full user-focused product design process. My goal is to exhibit FaderBox at Maker Faire Orlando and give visitors a hands-on look at what it takes to develop a complete 3D-printed product from concept to working device. I would love to show the full process, including the printed parts, electronics, software, design iterations, and the final working prototype. In addition to FaderBox, I would also bring several of my other well-known projects to display, giving attendees a broader look at my work in 3D printing, electronics, and DIY product development. I’m based in Florida, and Volumix has been designed and built here in the U.S., not far from Maker Faire Orlando. I think this project would be a great fit for the event and would give visitors a unique look at how accessible modern product development can be with 3D printing, electronics, and open-source design. Thank you for your time, and I would love the opportunity to be part of Maker Faire Orlando. Best, Tom The Printing Pilot
